Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Lockdown extended for three more weeks

The coronavirus lockdown in Northern Ireland will be extended for another three weeks.

First Minister Arlene Foster said the Northern Ireland Executive took the decision after a meeting today.

 

 

Earlier today, Newry Times reported that another six people who tested positive for Covid-19 had died in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of deaths in the country to 140 people.

 

 

Lockdown restrictions will now remain until 5 May 2020.

The lockdown will be reviewed by the Northern Ireland Executive as more data emerges.
