Cloughreagh estate road in an ‘appalling condition’
Slieve Gullion Area Sinn Féin Councillor Roisin Mulgrew has said that the condition of the road running through Cloughreagh and John F Kennedy Park estates are ‘totally unacceptable’ and she has confirmed that she has written to senior Roads Officers asking them to inspect the stretch of roads as a matter of urgency.
The local Councillor stated, “The road running through Cloughreagh and John F Kennedy are in an appalling condition.

“This ongoing issue has frustrated local residents and myself as we have made regular requests to get the road impacted by a patchwork of diggings by various agencies resurfaced.
She continued, “It is a busy stretch of road which I now view as a hazard to motorists and pedestrians alike.
“Recent repair work regarding potholes has been completed, this is a temporary solution to a permanent ongoing problem. It is also throwing good money after bad.

Mulgrew added, “Resurfacing is the only answer and I have contacted senior local Infrastructure Officers to request this. I will keep all local residents updated.”
