Anger over latest South Armagh dumping incident
Slieve Gullion Sinn Féin Councillor Mickey Larkin has condemned those who dumped over a dozen black bags of rubbish on the Quilly Road at Mullaghbawn.
“The community in this area have had enough of those who think they can dump at will,” he blasted.
“South Armagh may be open for business and visitors but it certainly isn’t open for polluters and fly tippers.
“This remote and beautiful place is steeped in history with links to Penal times and the United Irishmen.

“Those who desecrated the beauty of this area could have easily accessed the facilities in Crossmaglen, Newry or Camlough that are provided by the Council for disposing of such waste.
Larkin added, “I have reported this to the Environmental Health department within the Council who will investigate and instigate a clean up.”
