Newry women charged after drugs find
Two women, both aged 23, have been charged with possessing criminal property, possession of a class A, B and C controlled drug and possession of a class A, B and C controlled drug with intent to supply.
The charges are believed to be in connection with a planned search and seizure of cash and drugs in the Richmond Court area of Newry on the evening of Wednesday 20th May.
At approximately 6.15pm, police carried out a planned search of a house and a quantity of cash and drugs in tablet, liquid, powder and resin form were seized and the two women were arrested.
Chief Inspector Davy Beck told Newry Times, “At this early stage, the intitial estimated value of the seized drugs is thought to be about £10,000.”
Both women appeared at Armagh Magistrates Court this morning, Friday 22nd May.
