‘Volunteer your time for fight against heart disease’ – British Heart Foundation
British Heart Foundation (BHF) Northern Ireland is looking for passionate and enthusiastic In Memoriam volunteers to play a key role in developing relationships with local Funeral Directors in Newry and Mourne.
This very important volunteer will help to promote the important role that in memoriam donations play in the lifesaving work of the charity.
In Memoriam giving is an incredibly important way for the thousands of families affected by heart disease in Northern Ireland to remember a loved one while also providing a vital source of funds to support the lifesaving work of BHF Northern Ireland.
The money raised will help fund the charities local work, such as the 122 BHF Northern Ireland funded healthcare professionals who provide support to thousands of local families living with the devastating effects of heart disease every year.
As an In Memoriam volunteer you will establish relationships with your local Funeral Directors to help them understand the difference that In Memoriam donations make to the charity, and how the money is spent.
You will also be helping to support local bereaved families through the distribution of the charities literature, leaflets and envelopes as well as collecting and banking In Memoriam donations.
If you are interested in becoming an In Memoriam volunteer please phone Gary Wilson at BHF Northern Ireland on 028 6863 3113 or email him at wilsong@bhf.org.uk.
