McNally last ditch disappointment for Warrenpoint Town FC
Warrenpoint Town have expressed their disappointment that Paddy McNally has had a last minute change of heart.
And manager Barry Gray has expressed his annoyance at what he called a “lack of goodwill” in the transfer dealing.
“Paddy had agreed that he was joining us and his club had the transfer paper prepared. It is a sheer lack of goodwill that after everything is agreed that another club would then approach a player and upset the process. We did state yesterday that the paperwork was still being processed.”
However Gray did express his best wishes to McNally as he bids to restart his career. “As stated yesterday Paddy and the other players we brought in are in need of game time and are hungry for that.
“I wish Paddy well at Ballymena and I sincerely hope he gets the game time he wants and needs if his career is to progress further.
Gray added, “There is still time in this transfer window and we still have other deals that we are discussing, however, we are in no rush and are very happy with what has been confirmed already.”
