Last chance to get subsidised agricultural tracker fitted
Newry & Mourne Sinn Féin Councillor Terry Hearty has called on farmers to avail of the agricultural tracker system before the scheme ends.
The South Armagh elected representative explained, “A scheme to assist farmers fit tracking devices to farm equipment such as tractors has been operating over the past few months and has proven to be popular.
“The cost of replacing stolen farm machinery is a major burden on anyone who is unfortunate enough to have it stolen so fitting a tracking device is a sensible option.
“The scheme involves fitting a tracker unit by an authorised fitter which is monitored for three years at a cost of £360.
He added, “The subsidised scheme ends on the 30th September and I would urge all farmers to help protect their equipment by applying to the scheme before the deadlines expires next week by phoning 02890818688.”
