Education/experience: Geography BSc, Advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) MSc, working for a government body (The Countryside Access and Activities Network CAAN) ad-hoc as a GIS technician, working for a marketing agency subcontracted to drive a van for Guinness.

When did you leave Newry? August 30th 2011.
Why did you leave Newry? Career development, employment and an opportunity to live and work in a large city.
Who did you go with? My girlfriend.
What are you doing now in New York? Are you working? Living in New York, working for a large multidisciplinary engineering firm.
Are you enjoying life away from Newry? Yes.
What do you miss most about Newry? Friends, Family, La Dolce Vita and Friar Tucks.
When will you return to Newry or if you don’t know, then would you like to eventually return here? When there is a significant upturn in the economy and opportunities to have a good career at home, I can’t see myself returning for at least 5 years.
Career ambition: Self employed engineering consultant.
What would you say to anybody still living in Newry who can’t find work? Don’t see emigration as a bad thing, use it as an opportunity to go out and see the world and develop skills and ideas which you can bring home. It’s a big world out there and now is a great opportunity to go and see it.
