Councillor Ó Muirí said, “I am delighted that this work will be undertaken by Roads Service as the bridge has been in a state of disrepair for some time.

“Traffic restrictions will be in place on the road between Sheetrim and Freeduff and I urge local residents to be patient and use an alternative route while work is ongoing.

Ó Muirí added, “Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 17th February and will end on Friday 4th April.”
