This meeting will take place on Wednesday 5th February in Newtownhamilton Community Centre at 8m and is open to all members of the community.

Speaking ahead of the meeting Councillor Ó Muirí said, “The Community Safety Group model has been hugely successful in other parts of South Armagh and in many cases these groups have actually thwarted crimes.

“I think a group like this in Newtown would be a real asset to the community and I hope that it can work in conjunction with Newtownhamilton Community Association.

He added, “I have also invited a representative from Community Restorative Justice to attend the meeting to discuss ongoing issues in Dungormley Estate. I hope as many Dungormley residents as possible attend this meeting and make their views known.”
