A-Level Business students ‘build’ their interest in Newry Building Supplies
Eighteen A-level business students’ from St. Mark’s High School, Warrenpoint paid a visit to Newry Building Supplies, part of Murdock Builders’ Merchants, last week.
The students, accompanied by their teacher Mr. Sean O’Hare, have selected Newry Building Supplies as their chosen subject for their project for the year.
They were treated to a presentation and a tour of the shop and yard areas – all in a bid to help with their school project.
Manager Ciaran Sweeney and Claire White from Internal Sales from the Murdock Group were on hand to give the students’ some first-hand information on the company, answering any questions they had.
The students’ were also presented with a Murdock goodie bag each to ensure they didn’t go away from the day empty handed.
Ciaran Sweeney from the Murdock Group commented, “We at the Murdock Group are delighted that St. Mark’s have chosen Newry Building Supplies as their focus for their project.
“Young business entrepreneurs are the life blood of the future economy and we’re delighted to help encourage the younger generations.
Ciaran added, “It was a pleasure having the students’ from St. Mark’s pay a visit and hopefully they benefited from the first-hand experience and will be able to put it to good use for their project. We wish them all the best for their A-levels!”
