Police charge man, 30, after huge cannabis seizure
Officers from the local Tactical Crime Unit have charged a 30 year old man with possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply and obstructing police.
It is believed these charges are in relation to the recovery of a large amount of suspected cannabis following a planned search of a house in the Barron’s Hill area of Bessbrook on Friday 1st March 2013.
The man was arrested in the Newry area on the morning of Saturday 19th October. He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates Court today, Monday 21st October.
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
