What would life be like without a toilet?

After helping NI Water support World Toilet Day back in November and finding out just what life would be like without a toilet, Primary Five pupils from Windsor Hill Primary School in Newry were inspired to raise £300 for WaterAid.

This will help to support the many people across the world that don’t have a safe place to go to the toilet.

NI Water’s Outreach and Learning Officer, Anna Marshall explained, “Living in Northern Ireland we all take clean, safe toilets for granted. But for many, the reality is very different.

“Approximately 2.5 billion people across the world don’t have access to adequate sanitation resulting in the spread of disease and pollution.

She added, “The money raised by the pupils of Windsor Hill will go a long way in helping WaterAid to invest in improving sanitation for some of the poorest communities in which they work.”
