Annual business conference to support local businesses

Looking ahead to the Business Conference is Elaine McAlinden Enterprise Development Officer at Banbridge District Council and Simon Devlin Managing Director of Full Circle Management Solutions Ltd

Businesses in Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon and Newry & Mourne Council areas are being given the unique opportunity to attend a local business conference to hear from a range of experienced business professionals who will be sharing their experiences of what it takes to set up and grow a successful business. To mark the fact that 2012 is Olympics Year, the keynote speaker for the event will be Dame Mary Peters, who will talk about the challenges and pressures of reaching and sustaining performance excellence.

The SEED consortium of Councils (Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon and Newry & Mourne) have launched the annual ‘Get up and Grow’ Business Conference to help inspire and inform emerging entrepreneurs and established businesses by hearing from some of today’s leading business leaders. The conference is FREE to attend and will take place on Wednesday 13th June in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry commencing with registration at 2pm.

Commenting on the business conference, Elaine McAlinden Enterprise Development Officer at Banbridge District Council said,

“We are delighted to be able to host this business conference which is aimed at the local business community. We believe that the conference is a unique opportunity to learn from the experiences of leading business professionals as well being a great networking forum and I would strongly encourage budding entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and local businesses to register for this free event. As this is Olympics Year, having Dame Mary Peters come into the SEED region and talk to our local businesses is timely. This is the second business conference as part of the SEED Promoting Sustainable Enterprise programme and we feel that it will be as successful as last year’s inaugural conference”.

Commenting on the business conference Simon Devlin from organisers Full Circle Management Solutions explained, “Experience tells us that the business community benefits from the opportunity to hear inspirational speakers share their experiences and I would strongly encourage the local business community to register for this FREE business conference.”
