Mourne Mountains to host first ever Etape cycling event

The Mourne Mountains is set to host Northern Ireland’s first ever Etape cycling event. The cycling event takes place on the 27th of May at Corn Quay, Annalong Harbour.

The event, organised by the Pioneer Group – in conjunction with the Newry and Mourne District Council – is inspired by the famous mountain stage of the Tour de France and will offer cyclists either 70 or 45 miles of cycling around the Mourne Mountains.

You can register for the event now online at www.etapemourne.com. Registration costs £30 and cyclists are encouraged to raise money for the official charity partner, CLIC Sargent. The event will start at Corn Quay, Annalong Harbour at 9.00am on the 27th May 2012.
