Cash and suspected £15k of cannabis seized by Police during house search – | Newry News
Newry, Mourne, and Down District Support Team officers, assisted by local Neighbourhood Policing Team officers, searched a property in the Newcastle area on Monday, 3 June 2024.
During the search of the house in the Dunwellan Park area, officers seized a quantity of suspected cannabis worth an estimated street value of £15,000 and a sum of cash.
Two men aged 19 and 50 were arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences.
They have been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
Newry, Mourne & Down District Commander, Superintendent Norman Haslett says, “We are actively committed to removing illegal drugs from our streets, and proactively investigate and carry out searches to disrupt this activity and those involved in the drugs trade.
