As a Temporary Fishery Officer, you’ll patrol lakes, rivers, loughs, shorelines, and marine environments, keeping a watchful eye for illegal fishing activity and pollution.

Your efforts will be instrumental in promoting sustainable fishing practices and ensuring compliance with essential regulations.

We conduct investigations and prosecute offenders under different legislation, showcasing our strong track record in regulatory enforcement.

Our successful partnerships with enforcement agencies on both sides of the border highlight the effectiveness of our collaborative efforts.

To qualify, you should have:

– 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including Mathematics and English Language, or

– 1 year of experience in two of the following: Fisheries, Environmental Field, Law Enforcement, Fish Counters, Legal Background, or Sea-going Duties.

Additionally, a full current driving licence held for at least two years with no more than 6 penalty points is required.
