Invest NI’s Southern Regional team will be hosting a drop-in clinic in its Newry Office, Drumalane Mill, on Wednesday, 18 October, between 10 am and 11:30 am, which will provide information on the woman-focused programme along with information on the types of additional support available.

Encouraging women-led business owners across Newry, Mourne & Down to attend the drop-in clinic and apply for the new Ambition to Grow Programme, Invest NI’s Regional Business Group Partner Delivery Manager, Karen Finlay, says, “We designed Ambition to Grow as a new way to attract more companies to seek our support and increase our regional impact in Northern Ireland.

“With our new women-led programme, Invest NI is proud to support Northern Ireland’s most innovative and ambitious women-led businesses, offering not only funding but also the chance to connect and learn from one another.

“This is our fourth Ambition to Grow cohort, and we’re already seeing the impact these types of investments are having within local communities.

“I would encourage women in business across the Newry, Mourne & Down District Council area to come along to our Drumalane Mill office and engage with Invest NI and Women in Business to see how we can support you to take your business to the next stage of its growth journey.”

Designed specifically to help women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, Ambition to Grow will provide support to create jobs and sell innovative products or services outside Northern Ireland.

Successful applicants can also build valuable connections, working with other women-led businesses and encouraging shared learning through peer leadership networks.

Lorraine Acheson, Managing Director of Women in Business NI, says, “Women in Business is delighted to be working with Invest Northern Ireland in its Ambition to Grow programme – supporting women.

“Women across Northern Ireland are starting and growing new business ventures every day in a range of sectors.”

“This programme complements the support and resources provided through Women in Business and will provide much-needed funding and assistance to enable these businesses to grow through job creation and expansion outside Northern Ireland.”
