New Carnagat bus shelter will be ‘a welcome addition for residents’ – Councillor Harte | News in Newry
Sinn Féin Councillor Valerie Harte has welcomed a commitment from Translink to build a bus shelter for residents in Carnagat.
The Newry City councillor says, “I have worked closely with the Carnagat community association over recent months to assist them in this process.
“This is a very busy bus route, with both students and residents using the bus to get into the city centre.
“Given the level of use, it is important that a proper shelter was put in place for the residents.
“I’m delighted to see Translink agree to deliver a shelter for this area and offer my congratulations to the Carnagat community association.
“I look forward to seeing this project delivered and to working again in the future with the community association to help improve the area for the community.”
