Newry company Gray Design on growth path after contract successes

Newry Architecture firm, Gray Design, have set their sights on future growth across key Belfast and Dublin markets after a sustained period of contract successes.

Newry man Barry Gray, who set up the business in 2005 with fellow Director Colin Dalton, said, “Our team worked throughout lockdown as we were focused on delivering projects for our clients.

 

 

“We strongly feel the outlook for the construction industry remains very positive.

“We have been exceptionally busy during 2020 as businesses continue to invest,” he adds.

Newry company’s recent work includes a new KFC Restaurant and Drive-Thru.

 

Some of Gray Design’s recently completed commissions include the new KFC Restaurant and Drive-Thru at the Gateway site beside the Boulevard Outlet Park.

 

 

“This is one of series of projects we have been involved with at the Banbridge complex over several years,” Barry explains.

“Gray Design has a long-standing relationship with the Lotus Group, who manage the Boulevard Complex.”

The partnership extends to another significant retail and leisure destination centre, The Junction, situated close to Antrim Town Centre which is also owned by the Lotus Group.

As part of a £30m redevelopment, Gray Design has worked with global brands including McDonald’s, Nando’s and Starbucks.

 

 

A new Modern Tyres Depot in Dargan Crescent, Belfast was also handed over during the summer.

The impressive facility includes an eight-bay workshop and office space.

Newry man Barry Gray, who is well known in football circles as the current manager of Warrenpoint Town in the Irish Premiership, adds, “In particular, within retail and leisure, there is a growing need to deliver an exceptional visitor experience to attract consumers.

“An inspiring design can really help, and we work closely with clients to achieve their vision,” he says.

“This includes cleaver use of both indoor and outdoor space,” Barry adds.
