Johnson’s Coffee Lisburn: Perfect Blends. Expertly Roasted
Less than 9 miles from Belfast and around 30 miles from Newry is Lisburn.
Both Newry and Lisburn were granted city status in 2002, both are popular shopping destinations and both enjoy a great coffee culture.
Lisburn’s coffee culture is personified by one family in particular, the Johnsons, who first roasted coffee in Ireland in 1913.
From small beginnings, supplying grocers and cafes locally, the business today employs 25 staff based in Lisburn, supplying the Irish grocery sector and the food service sector across Ireland and the UK, as well as exporting to the USA.
The fourth generation owned business now sells not only the Johnsons brand of blends, but also Bellagio Espresso, available in whole bean, pre-ground and now Nespresso compatible capsules plus Copper Drum, an exclusive range of single origin estate coffees.
While the operation has evolved considerably, the founding maxim remains unchanged – a passion to provide premium quality coffees, machinery, training and brand support.
As Robert Johnson said in 1916, “We have a responsibility as a roaster to father the coffee to the cup”.
