‘One-Stop’ Recruitment Open Day to increase number of care workers

The Southern Health and Social Care Trust has launched a new campaign to increase the number of domiciliary care workers helping people to live in the comfort of their own homes.

A career in domiciliary care is ideal for a compassionate person who has had experience of caring for someone.

The campaign involves a ‘One-Stop’ Recruitment Open Day which will be held in Banbridge Health and Care Centre on Saturday 1 June 2019.

Melanie McClements, Director of Older People and Primary Care said, “In the Southern Trust we are committed to helping as many people as possible to be cared for in their own homes.

“In our area we have an increasing number of older people living longer which is great news but some have very complex needs.

“We are recruiting Domiciliary Care Workers to help provide end of life care, support our older population and clients with learning disabilities and physical disabilities to live with dignity, for as long as possible in their own homes where they want to be.

She added, “So if you are kind, caring and would like to help people live more independently, you could be the ideal candidate to work with our Domiciliary Care Teams in the Trust.”

To apply, fill out an online application today at jobs.hscni.net or attend the Recruitment Open Day on Saturday 1 June 2019 at Banbridge Health & Care Centre, BT32 3GN from 9.30am- 4.00pm.
