Call for Newry’s over 50’s to share experiences of working
A new partnership project aimed at improving career choices for people over 50 is calling on people in Newry to share their experiences of working in later life.
Age NI, Business in the Community and the Department for Communities are inviting local people aged 50+ to come forward and share their thoughts and experiences on work demands, priorities for the future, flexible working, promotion, retirement and more.
The aim of the new project is to produce a Mid-Career Review Toolkit for people aged 50+ to help inform positive career choices for both employees and organisations.
With more than 650,000 people over 50 living and working in Northern Ireland, and a population which is ageing and working for longer, it is important for citizens, business and the economy that everyone feels valued and is able to have a positive career path.
People aged 50+ in Newry are invited to come along to Confederation of Community Groups, Ballybot House, 28 Corn Market, Newry BT35 8BG on Thursday 11 April between 5.30pm – 7pm.
To register, please email pamela.carson@community-ni.gov.uk with your name and the event you would like to attend.
