Drumalane car parking issues ‘out of hand and causing chaos’
Newry City Sinn Féin Councillor Charlie Casey has said that there is growing frustration in the Dromalane area amongst many local residents, pedestrians and motorists about the issue of car parking.
“The situation is getting completely out of hand,” the local Councillor told Newry Times.
“Cars are being literally abandoned by owners and this is causing chaos and anger with local residents.”
Casey said he raised the issue at a recent Council meeting with Roads Service.
“Ultimately I believe a meeting with Department of Infrastructure Roads Service Officials, the local Community Association and representatives from the Quays to discuss the concerns will be required.
He added, “I have no doubt that working together we can hopefully alleviate the problems.”
