Masked men men assault three during Bessbrook burglary
Detectives are investigating the report of an aggravated burglary at a house in Wakefield Terrace, Bessbrook on Saturday 28 April.
Police received a report that between 1:30am and 1:45am on Saturday morning, two masked men, one armed with a hammer and one with a chain, had forced their way into the house and assaulted three male occupants before making off.
The occupants sustained cuts and bruising as a result of the incident.
The first intruder was around 5’6” tall, wore grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark coloured hooded top, with a scarf covering his face.
The second was around 5’10” tall, wore dark coloured bottoms, a black hooded top and also had a scarf covering his face.
Detective Sergeant Niall Bell has appealed to anyone who noticed anyone matching these descriptions in the area, or who has any information which could assist police with their enquiries, to contact detectives at Ardmore on 101 quoting reference number 164 28/04/18.
