Nominations announced for Newry ‘Shining Lights’ Awards 2017
The Confederation of Community Groups (CCG) has announced details of the nominations received for the Community Volunteering Awards of 2017.
The ‘Shining Light’ Community Volunteering Awards were established by the Confederation in memory of Patricia Graham, a dedicated member of staff who sadly passed away in 2009.
The Awards ceremony will take place in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry on Friday 2nd June as part of Celebrating Volunteers Week in this area.
Speaking before a meeting of this year’s Independent Adjudication Panel the CCG’s CEO Raymond Jackson paid a warm tribute to the voluntary work carried out by all the local groups throughout the past year.
