A short time later a Police patrol in the area of Stoneyford Road observed an old style blue Audi being driven in the direction of Dundrod with three males on board.

Police signalled for this vehicle to stop but it failed to do so and continued towards Lisburn. One male made off on foot when the vehicle stopped on Pond Park Road before it continued on the Derriaghy Road in the direction of Belfast.

It then came to a stop on McKinstries Road when the remaining two occupants made off on foot. Both males were detained by police a short time later and the third male was arrested in the Beech Hill Park area of Lisburn on Wednesday evening.

The 19 year old male has also been charged with a burglary of a house in Ahoghill earlier this month and the 18 and 22 year old males have also been charged with burglaries at two houses in the Newry area in 2016.

All three are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today, Friday 24th March.
