‘UUP need to set out position on marriage equality’ – Fearon
Sinn Féin’s Megan Fearon has called on UUP leader Mike Nesbitt to set out his party’s position on marriage equality.
The Sinn Féin equality spokesperson said, “There is a growing demand across society in the North to see marriage equality extended across the island.

“Mike Nesbitt told his party conference that he is opposed to marriage equality, even though he recognised that it put them on the wrong side of history.
“A small minority of UUP MLAs have voted in favour of marriage equality but clearly there is divisions within the party on this issue.
She added, “Mike Nesbitt needs to come out and state clearly once and for all whether the UUP are still opposed to marriage equality or not.”
