Drug Information Meeting ‘will give insight to drug and substance abuse’ – Hearty
Slieve Gullion Area Sinn Féin Councillor Terry Hearty has praised the Crossmaglen Rangers GAA Club who are hosting a Drugs Information Meeting on Friday 27th January.
The local representative has urged all who can attend to do so.
“Whilst Crossmaglen Rangers have organised this event they have made it open to all of the community and sourrounding areas,” said Terry.
“This meeting will give all an insight into the problem of drug and substance misuse. There will be a presentation from a person experienced with dealing with individuals and families who find themselves in the plight of drug misuse and the challanges they face.
“There will also be an input from a recovering drug addict who will chart out their journey and the issues they faced.”

Hearty added, “Crossmaglen Rangers are to be praised for their convening of this meeting. We as a community, as friends and neighbours must ensure that we become aware of the challenges of drug and substance misuse, understand the issues involved and the route to recovery and be supportive and sympathetic to those who find themselves in such difficulties.”
