Man injured in Rostrevor assault

Police are appealing for information following the report of an assault on a man in the Church Street area of Rostrevor on Monday, 28th March.

At approximately 12.10am as the injured party was walking along Church Street he was assaulted by two unknown men.

He attended hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Constable Gary Braiden would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact Police at Newry on the non-emergency number 101.
