Two arrests in connection with Newry and South Armagh burglaries

Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime have charged a further two men following four burglaries in Longfield Heights, Newry, and Blaney Road and Newry Road in Crossmaglen on 13th October.

courtA vehicle, an old-style blue Audi, has also been seized as part of the investigation.

Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Inspector David Henderson said, “We are appealing for information in relation to these crimes. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a blue old-style Audi in the Newry or South Armagh areas over recent days.

He added, “Detectives can be contacted by calling 101. Alternatively information about crime can be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”

The 24 and 41 year old man have been charged with burglary and will appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on 11th November. As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
