Amazing Elvis and Abba tribute acts to perform in Newcastle

The Newcastle Summer Season live entertainment programme promises a fantastic final weekend of live music with tribute acts to some of the world’s most celebrated entertainers.

elvis abba The Elvis Spectacular, starring Ciaran Houlihan, will get the weekend off to a great start at 8pm on Friday 21st August and The Bjorn Identity ® will make sure the season finishes on a high note at 8pm on Saturday 22nd August.

Now in its 19th year, The Elvis Spectacular starring Ciran Houlihan is Ireland’s premier Elvis show. Ciaran looks like Elvis, sounds like Elvis, moves like Elvis and all his costumes are designed and created by Elvis’s original costumer, Gene Douchette.

Ciaran will be accompanied by his fantastic 8-piece band, including the Sweet Sensations. Feel free to bring your camera /phone and take as many pictures as you like as camera flashes were a big part of Elvis’s live shows and make for a more authentic experience.

The Bjorn Identity ®, Ireland’s finest Abba show, returns to Newcastle after a sell out show in 2014. The band continues to exceed all expectations with their live and authentic Abba-in -concert experience.

With stunning handmade replica costumes and all the glitz of the 70’s era, this two hour show features a decade of the greatest hits of ABBA, including songs from the hit musical ‘Mamma Mia’ which celebrates 40 years since its release.

Elvis close upAudiences of all ages can discover and re-live the magic of the Swedish Super Group and their musical legacy that lives… ‘On and On and On’.

Don’t forget the FREE events on the Promenade – Join Aiden Milligan for the heart-pumping Drumming Circle on Wednesday 19th August (2pm – 4pm); on Thursday 20th August, Martin McParland will introduce the art of Outdoor Sketching (10am – 12 noon) and on Saturday 22nd August Jim & Dr Nick, two of Ireland’s top street entertainers, bring their unique talents for juggling, unicycling, fire juggling and ladder balancing together in a comic display at 1pm & 2.30pm.
