Extra dates added for sell-out theatre show ‘The Holy Holy Bus’
Back by popular demand, Brassneck Theatre Company returns to The Newcastle Summer Season with their hilariously madcap adventure about love, hope, happiness and faith, The Holy Holy Bus.
The original weekend dates of 31st July and 1st August are sold out, so 3 additional dates have been added to meet demand for tickets; Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th and Thursday 30th July at 8pm.
Winner of The Belfast Telegraph, Belfast Festival at Queens ‘Audience Award’ (2014), this latest production by Brassneck Theatre Company, the producers of A Night With George and Man In The Moon, just finished an incredible three-week sell-out run at The Lyric, Belfast.
There is a bus that leaves a West Belfast parish once a year to see the holy sites of Ireland… the locals refer to it as The Holy Holy Bus. The story follows four of the female faithful on a journey of personal pilgrimage, which by the time they have returned home, will have changed all of their lives forever.
The Holy, Holy Bus will have you laughing, crying and even praying for some divine inspiration along the way!
On Saturday 1st August at 1pm and 2.30pm, join the fabulous Parky for a traditional Punch and Judy show that enthrals and excites both adults and children alike. With traditional style theatre and puppets, slapstick and humour are the main ingredients of this entertaining show.
On Sunday 2nd August at 2.30pm HHB join the Ballylone Flute Band outside the Newcastle Centre for an afternoon of beautiful, nostalgic music.
Finally, Down Arts Centre’s Performing Arts Summer Schools take place from Monday 3rd – Friday 7th August (7-11 years) and Monday 10th – Friday 15 August (12-18 years). Both groups will be working with specialist tutors in acting, dance and theatre design to create a performance for friends and family at the end of each week.
This year, the 7-11’s will be telling the enchanting story of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson and the 12-18’s will have a unique opportunity this year to perform a shortened version of one of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
