St Joseph’s Newry are Ulster Champions
St Joseph’s Boy’s High School in Newry made history by claiming their second Ulster Title this year.
The U-15 team defeated Edmund Rice (Glengormley) by a single point in the Danske Bank Nagle Cup final.
A phenomenal team spirit was on display throughout the game, but special credit must be given to the outstanding performances of Daryl Hannan in nets and key scores from Cormac Brady and Ruairi Lavery that ensured St Joseph’s were crowned Ulster Champions once again.
St Joseph’s: D Hannan, C Kilcoyne, C Brady 0-2 frees, J Byrne, N Fegan, C O ‘Reilly, A McNamee, L Kelly 1-0, A Osborne, M Taylor, R Lavery 0-3, 0-2 frees, R Gray 0-1, J Turley 0-1, E Flynn, R McCarthy 0-1.
