Newry police call for witnesses after burglary

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a burglary on Tullymurry Road.

burglaryBetween 8.15pm and 10.41pm on Wednesday, 11th April, entry was forced to a house on Tullymurry Road.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Jill Browne explained, “A quantity of silverware and an old, black, marble clock (approximately 10in by 20in) were taken from the house.

“A tool shed was also entered and a Dolmar leaf blower, a red Mitsubishi hedge cutter and an orange Husqvarna chainsaw were taken. A silver platter and two silver cups were recovered close to the house.

“We would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around the area during this time or anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 1328 22/04/15,” he added.
