Three arrests after Newry assault leaves man (21) in hospital
Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault that occurred in the Belfast Road area on the evening of Saturday 14th February.
It was reported that a 21 year old man was assaulted by a number of males in the area, sometime between 10.30pm and 10.50pm.
He required hospital treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Jonny Hart said, “Three men aged 24, 20 and 20, were arrested in the Newry area on Thursday 19th February in relation to the incident. They were later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
“I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact Ardmore Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
