Speaking at the launch Mickey Brady stated, “Quality, high speed, broadband is essential for almost every facet of modern life.
“In order to develop a sustainable economy, especially in rural areas, access to high speed broadband is needed.”
His colleague south Armagh MLA Megan Fearon said, “Areas that have the poorest level of broadband coverage must receive priority in the roll out of high speed broadband. There is a need for everyone to have an access to good quality broadband in rural areas.
“It is now an essential basic service that assists both householders in everyday life and helps rural businesses to grow, develop and prosper.
She added, “We must all continue to highlight the issue until all concerns have been addressed and rural communities have access to this essential service.”
