Warrenpoint homes graffiti attacks causes anger

Sinn Féin Councillor Michael Ruane has condemned those responsible for overnight graffiti vandalism on homes in the Warrenpoint area.

Speaking to Newry Times, the local Councillor said, “I unreservedly condemned those who in the dark of night vandalised local homes by painting graffiti on them.

“A number of families awoke this morning to find their homes had been attacked over night. Not only are the families affected angry and bewildered but anyone from the local community I have talked to shares that anger.

“They, like myself, view this serious anti social activity as an attack not only on the properties and families involved, but also on the community,” he insisted.

The Sinn Féin representative appealed for anyone with information regarding the incidents to contact the PSNI.

“Those engaged in this type of criminal anti social activity need to be apprehended and face the full rigours of the law,” he added.
