Water Service to address Fern Park residents’ concerns

Newry & Mourne Sinn Féin representative Valerie Harte has stated that following a recent consultation with NI Water Officials, she has received an assurance that the grounds work around their substation on Monks Hill will be carried out within the coming weeks.

The Newry City Councillor explained, “Residents from the Fern Court locality had contacted me regarding the issues of the general condition and in particular the over grown hedges in the area and the resulting negative and dangerous impact on visibility for them exiting their driveways.

“I welcome that NI Water have acknowledged my request and will carry out the maintenance within the coming weeks..

The local Councillor added, “I will also be requesting that NI water continue to maintain this piece of land on a regular basis.”
