Newry police hunt silver Vauxhall car after burglary
Police in Newry are appealing for information after a report of burglary at a house in the Lisgarvagh area in the early hours of Saturday 20th September.
Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Arbuthnot said, “At around 2:35am, it was reported that a silver Vauxhall car with a tow bar was driving in the area with three men on board.
“One man is believed to have got out of the car and climbed into a garden in the area. It is believed that entry was gained to a house in the area and a handbag was stolen during the incident.
“The car then made off in an unknown direction and the handbag was later found at the Sturgan Brae, Camlough area a short time later. Enquiries are continuing.
He added, “Officers in Newtownhamilton Police Station can be contacted on the 101 non-emergency number and anyone with any information should quote reference 362200914.
