Racial equality consultation event set for Newry

Newry & Armagh Sinn Féin MLA Megan Fearon has urged as many people as possible to attend the Racial Equality Strategy public consultation event which takes place in Ballybot House, Newry on Thursday the 25th of September at 7pm.

She explained to Newry Times, “The Racial Equality Strategy will I hope establish a framework which will tackle racial inequalities, eradicate racism and hate crime and working with all help promote good race relations and social cohesion.

Fearon added, “It is vitally important that all with an interest in this strategy give an input and I would encourage individuals, activists and groups to feel free to attend.”
