Sinn Féin delegation to meet Poots on Crossmaglen Day Care Centre
Sinn Féin representatives Conor Murphy, Megan Fearon and Terry Hearty will travel to Stormont on Tuesday 8th April to meet with Health Minister Edwin Poots regarding the Crossmaglen Day Care Centre project.
Speaking to Newry Times, Megan Fearon said, “We have been working on this project for years, as soon as one hurdle is crossed another takes its place. I am looking forward to speaking with the Health Minister and gaining some clarity on the current status of the project and how best to move it forward.”
Councillor Terry Hearty added, “This is a vital service for the people of South Armagh. A number of years ago we had a successful campaign to bring ambulance cover to the area but it was a hard fought battle.
He added, “I have no doubt that this will be an uphill struggle also but I am determined to see this project to a successful conclusion for those with disabilities and their families. I will be taking the opportunity on Tuesday to make it clear to the Health Minister that this service is necessary for our area.”
