Newry Mayor launches 310k event
Newry & Mourne Mayor Michael Ruane has launched this year’s 310k endurance event at Bessbrook Community Centre.
The Mayor stated that he was delighted with the Council’s association and support for the event and would encourage people to come out to run, jog or walk for this very worthy cause.
The selected charity for this year’s 310K event is The Newry Gateway Minibus Appeal.
The Mayor acknowledged the hard work of the volunteers at Newry Gateway Club who work tirelessly to address the social, physical and emotional wellbeing of disabled people throughout the Newry and Mourne area, and hoped this event will raise much needed funds for their appeal.
