John Dalzell’s sit out brings spirit of giving to Newry this Christmas
With the Winter season now in full swing John Dalzell MBE is getting suited and booted for the 22nd year of his sit out for The Southern Area Hospice.
John Dalzell’s Sit Out, which has raised over £1m to date, is a challenge which sees him enduring the wet and windy weather of the Christmas season for 10 days in a bid to raise vital funds for The Hospice.
As temperatures begin to drop, the familiar sight of John with his signature red suit and festive sit out trailer will take up residence on Hill Street for yet another year of gruelling fundraising.
Regional Marketing Officer for the Hospice, Sarah Colgan commented, “John has been enduring the cold weather for 22 years now to raise funds for the Hospice and it is wonderful to see the warmth and community spirit which he brings to Newry at Christmas time.
Sarah added, “Hill Street is at the heart of Newry’s community and so is the Hospice – so please come out and show your support for John and his team in what is now the 22nd annual sit out. Every penny you can spare will make a huge difference to us – so please head down to Hill St this Christmas and give what you can.”
If you would like to make a donation to the John Dalzell Sit Out Appeal in aid of Southern Area Hospice Services please come down to his sit out on Hill Street which starts on Saturday 14th December or send your donation to: SOUTHERN AREA HOSPICE SERVICES, FREEPOST BEL 3833, NEWRY, BT34 2BR.
