Rostrevor theft sparks police investigation

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following the report of the theft of a number of trees from Yellow Water Forest Park in Rostrevor on Saturday 9th November.

It was reported that at sometime in the days leading up to the report, up to four trees had been cut down and one tree that had blown down had been taken by persons unknown.

It is believed that the trees would have been cut on site into smaller blocks to faciltate their removal from the area.

Police would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact them in Warrenpoint on 0845 600 8000.

Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111
