Newry Rugby Club get numbers boost with new Girls Youth section

Newry Rugby Club hosted their second Girls Youth training session on Monday evening.

The session was led by Ulster Rugby’s Community Rugby Coach Jonathon Graham, who recently delivered a six week rugby programme in Our Lady’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School.

Zoe Templeton, Female Rugby Officer for the South of Ulster, also assisted with aspects of the training.

Newry RFC Girls will continue to train at Telford Park every Monday night from 7.00-8.30pm.

The provision of coaching from Ulster Rugby has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the ‘Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport’ programme.
