Free open air Halloween concert set for Newry
Newry is bracing itself for a spook-tacular event this Halloween after details emerged about the annual extravaganza.
On Thursday 31st October the free family fun event will feature locals stars such as The Nooks, Jimmy Buckley, The Housem8s, Johnnie Brady and compere Connor Phillips will take to a floating stage at the Albert Basin to provide the soundtrack for the Halloween open air concert.
The entertainment will take place between 6:30pm – 9:00pm and is completely free. The concert will conclude with an electrifying fireworks extravaganza.
In the best interest of all spectators on the evening Newry & Mourne District Council’s events committee have advised people attending the concert of the following important information.
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT: Traffic restrictions will be in operation from 4.00pm on Thursday 31st October at the junction of William Street along Albert Basin / Fathom Line for the duration of the concert.
Traffic going to Omeath, Carlingford and Greenore should proceed along Bridge Street through Drumalane. Traffic travelling to the Quays Shopping & Leisure Centre should enter via Bridge Street entrance.

CHILD PROTECTION: Any children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. In the event of a missing child please report to the nearest security / steward in Yellow Bibs who will deal with the situation immediately.
STEWARDS: In the interest of safety for everyone attending the concert you are requested to cooperate with security personnel / event stewards at all times.
WEATHER CONDITIONS: Remember to wrap up warm.
