Letters to the Editor, ‘Volunteer at British Heart Foundation’
Dear Editor,
I’ve been living with irreversible heart failure for over 10 years. I have found great comfort in the support and services that British Heart Foundation (BHF) Northern Ireland provides locally.
That is why I volunteer for BHF Northern Ireland and I’m passionate about raising funds to help the charity continue its work locally. In the last five years I’ve raised over £30,000 during my time as Lead Volunteer.
The charity is holding their annual conference on Tuesday 15th October 2013 at the Dunsilly Hotel, Antrim. This is an excellent opportunity for people to come along to this free event and find out what the charity has been doing, what their plans are for the next year and how people can get involved.
Nearly 75,000 people are living with Coronary Heart Disease in Northern Ireland. The work of BHF Northern Ireland is essential – they are working to prevent families and friends from losing loved ones to heart disease.
Join us in the fight against heart disease on Tuesday 15 October. To register: email us at ni@bhf.org.uk or call 0121 661 5161.
I look forward to seeing you at Dunsilly.
Best Wishes,
Jimmy Walker, Lead Volunteer
