Murphy welcomes Kilbroney Road re-surfacing

Rostrevor Sinn Féin Councillor Mick Murphy has welcomed the start of resurfacing on the Kilbroney Road in the village.

Speaking to Newry Times, Murphy said, “Recently I contacted the Roads Service regarding the poor state of the road which was causing havoc to drivers in the area.

“I want to welcome the resurfacing work the Roads Service have now begun on the Kilbroney Road. The resurfacing will be taking place next week from Rostrevor to the Reid Hall area of the Kilbroney Road.

Murphy added, “Whilst I understand this will cause inconvenience to road users I would ask them to remain patient whilst this much needed improvement is ongoing. Hopefully the work will be completed as quick as possible and the road can once again be fit for purpose.”
