Newry Times GAA Special: Four Carrickcruppen boys in St. Paul’s MacRory Cup panel
In the week leading up to the MacRory cup final on 18th March, Newry Times will be profiling some members of the history making St. Paul’s High School, Bessbrook panel, culminating in an exclusive interview with team manager Martin O’Rourke on Friday 15th March.
Today we profile four members of one local club, Carrickcruppen, Camlough. Like their village counterparts, they have 4 members of their club on the panel which is a great achievement for any club.
Yesterday we shone the light on 4 players from the same club, Shane O’Neill’s.
It is indicative of the talent that is in the Bessbrook and Camlough areas that 8 members of the panel are from the district and also of the sterling work being done at club level by the countless volunteers who have mentored these young men through the underage system.
